Hong Kong Day 4 ♥

Day Four in HK! I was starting to feel abit sian because it was already Sunday, only two days left before we have to leave ): Nonetheless, I made the most out of the trip and enjoyed myself to the fullest! Sunday started off early as we left the hotel around 8.30am for dim sum breakfast at the same restaurant we had dinner the night before! Fu Lin Restaurant!

The char siew soh is realllyyyyy nice! We ordered the shrimp and char siew chee cheong fun but I didn't eat the char siew one because it came with the vegetable I don't like! (I eat vegetables but just not the smelly vegetable!)

Heh, handsum Daddy!

Mummy planned for us to head to Shenzhen to shop! We checked with the staff at the Control Station and they told us that it'd be cheaper for us to get a Tourist Day Pass Ticket which lasts for 24hours! Meaning we could tap in and out as many times as we like which was much cheaper than having to purchase a Single Trip Ticket! Furthermore, there were unlimited rides for 24hours! What a steal!

It came with vouchers as well! (Eg. HK$50 Voucher valid in the Elements Shopping Centre)

We boarded the train towards Lo Wu and had to stop a station @ Hung Hom before because the Tourist Day Pass couldn't take us there due to the Immigration Clearance before we could enter Shenzhen.

Happy Family hoho!

Godma! (:

Daddy had the intention to take photo with every signage when the train stopped at each station, but as the train got more and more crowded, Daddy (& Mummy) got more paiseh. hahaha! So we had to find ways to help Daddy take pictures without him feeling paiseh. haha!

See Sha Tin behind? Mummy & I bent down so the signage wouldn't be blocked. HAHAHA!

At Hung Hom!

Arrived in Shenzhen! The ride wasn't long but it was quite a hassle for us, tourists!

I approached the Police in China to ask for directions! haha, actually for recommendations on where we could go to shop and they told me to head down to Lao Jie which was 2 stations away, me think? (: We bought tickets and their tickets were in the form of coins! haha so cute luh.

Reached Lao Jie and there were lots of shops around! So exciting!

Many many pairs of boots around for the chilly weather in China!

JieJie. :D

As it was a Sunday, there were many many MANY people around! It was buzzing with people!

Mummy and Yiyi Mummy bought some toothbrush holders like the ones you would see at Bugis Street!

It was 4 for S$2.00 only!

Mummy & Daddy walked around while the three of us were doing our own shopping! Yiyi mummy was awesome in bargaining! She cut prices like nobody's business! And it works like 95% of the time!

We shopped till about three when we finally felt hungry! Looked for restaurants around and settled down at this Korean Restaurant! (:

Never good with Spicy food, the Kim Chi soup sent my nose dripping alittle! (Ewww) haha!

Busy eatinggg!

Shopped more after lunch! Mummy initially said that we should leave before 5, before the sky turns dark but we ended up leaving late!

Bought some snacks to share to munch on!

AND this is the reason why we got back to HK so late, way behind schedule! We decided on massage! It was an impromptu decision! But we really needed it! After walking and walking and shopping and shopping from day to night for the past 4 days, it was a need, not a want! :D

Daddy enjoying his massage!

It was already nearing 10pm so there wasn't any make up left. haha! Unglam but ohwell!

Hi zonia. where did u studied after ur O lvls? why did u choose to purse marketing as ur course? ur interests?

Zonia Raymond said...

Hi theree!

Hmmm, I went to SP after O's and took Diploma in Business Administration! I only majored in marketing in the second year. It was probably because I was interested in mktg after completing the Fundamentals of Marketing module in Year one.

Haha, i found it pretty interesting to design promotional activities and all together with the other aspects of marketing!

Hi Zonia,

I would like to check with you on the directions that you took from Jordan to ShenZhen, cuz I will be heading there soon and will be staying in Jordan too. I did check the MTR route but got a little confused by the line where you mentioned "had to stop a station @ Hung Hom before because the Tourist Day Pass couldn't take us there due to the Immigration Clearance before we could enter Shenzhen". So sorry for this long question! Thanks!

Hey! sorry for the late reply! Was working PT!

Hmm, I apologise for my vague instructions! and i think i made a mistake too! heh.

At East Tsim Sha Tsui, take the East Rail Line (the only line available) to Lo Wu. As the tourist single pass ticket can only take us to the stop before Lo Wu, we have to alight the stop before Lo Wu and purchase another ticket to Lo Wu which is in Shenzhen already. From there, clear immigrations and you're ready to shop! :D

Hope that helps, if not, google it! :D

Have fun! (:

HI!

Thanks for reading! Uhm, yeap we left Sz around 10 cos of the massage! It wasnt really dangerous cos all we had to do was to take the train all the way back to Jordan where our hotel was! It was really convenient cos the hotel was just above the station, like Raffles City and City Hall! :D

Hmm, about formspring, heh, i might consider! :D
