I went for my very first Sponsored Manicure after school on Vday 2011! (: It was with Flawless Nails and Beauty situated at Serangoon Gardens! It was my first time there so I was pretty worried that I might get lost in "foreign land" cos I dont stay around there! But but but, the directions provided by Jess, were so direct and I found my way there in no time!
Flawless Nails & Beauty
The first step was to push cuticles which simply meant removing excess cuticles, skin that grows over the nails at the base and the sides! Jean made my fingers feel like they were going through a massage because she was soooo gentle with them!
LOOK AT THE VARIETY OF COLOURS AVAILABLE! so pretty. :D
Next up was to offshine the nails to make sure that the gel or acrylic sticks to the nails!
There! Clean nails all ready for the acrylic tip extension! :D
Jess asked me what design would i prefer and I had no clue! She let me choose from the many, many, many designs in this Jap magazine and omg, I was stuck in a dilemma cos there were sooooooo many pretty designs to choose from! I took so long to decide. The more I saw, the more undecisive I became. She told me that would try their very best to accomodate me! So nice. :D
The awesome Jap magazine!
Jess and Jean went on to stick on the tip extension! They asked me for my preferred length and because Im not entirely gentle, haha, I told them I'd prefer mid length nails. hehh!
Here's Jess clipping off the excess nails!
This is to file the extension to make it look like its my real nail! Frankly speaking, it sure did look like my own nail! So amazing, it felt like it too!
Dont you think they look like my own nails! If only they were so clean, neat and pretty always!
Here, Jean was dehydrating my nails in order to remove the oil to ensure maximum adhesion. Flawless also uses glue that has little odour, which is a relief for me because Im one who cannot take strong odours!
Jean then applied the clear gel which can be used as the base as well as top!
This was where Jean got her colours. :D
After the base was coated with clear gel, I had to place my hands under the UV light to dry the nails! The drying process was pretty fast. hehh.
After Jean applied the white coat of gel, she went on to draw polka dots on my nails! Im a sucker for polka dots! Previously when I worked for Dolly Wink, my favourite pasttime was to DIY my own nails with Polka Dots which many said looked cute! :D
Polka Dots! ♥
Almost done!♥
Jean then removed the excess glue!
It was my first time seeing a manicurist drawing a ribbon out using powder! amazing le. heee!
The end result! And I was really satisfied!
Such pretty nails, hee!
I would be visiting Flawless in 2weeks for massage and facial and another manicure session soon! So be sure to stay tuned for the awesome experience! Oh and!
