For the past 1 year.

Hi Readers,

I know many of you out there probably left my blog because I wasn't updating for the past 1 year. It may be hard to get the readership back to where I left off but I'll try! I've decided to come back to blogging because I miss writing. I've been active on Instagram lately (Follow me: zoniaraymond & Twitter: zoniaraymond)

Last November, I sat for my last papers in university. A month later, results were announced and I graduated. I suddenly felt worried and unsure of my future because everything will not be as easy and smooth-sailing as it had been for the past decade where all that was expected of me was merely to study, do projects, pass exams and move on to the next level. Upon completion of my degree, reality sank in. It was time for me to enter the workforce. I was very reluctant of course, basically because from young, I didn't like to work. My peers took on part time jobs during school holidays. But being the lazy me, and the fact that my parents didn't like me taking on waitress jobs, I stayed home during the holidays and spent the other days hanging out with friends. (Output > Input) And so after results came out in December, I started sending out resumes where I received calls pertaining to applications that I've sent in. I always managed to find excuses for myself (Eg. I don't really like the company, the job scope isn't interesting/isn't what I had in mind, I think I can find something better...) This excuses left me jobless for 6months (Dec-May) when I finally went for my very 1st interview and that was when I got my first job, at Motorimage, Subaru.

To all those out there who are bound to graduate/ have graduated: Take your time to find something that you really like to do. There really isn't a point in accepting a job offer that doesn't pay you that well + you have to do something that you don't really fancy or when its not within your scope of study. Don't panic when your peers have found theirs. All you need is the right timing and determination. Study and prepare yourself for each and every interview you have accepted. For me, I don't like to go for interviews so I don't believe in going for interviews to practice (unlike my bff who's really good at interviews because of her practices!)

I'm currently a Management Executive with my company, still undergoing probation. I've met wonderful people at where I am which is probably one of the main reasons why I'm looking forward/don't detest going to work every morning. (I'm the youngest here btw.) I've the most awesome direct Boss. (Share with yall soonish)

Random: I really really miss my long hair. I know it's probably going to take some time before it all grows out again, but I'll wait. No more cutting to short/bob hairstyle anymore. I'm going to keep it long till it reaches my waist!

bigeye

Damn, I miss my hair! ):

I also miss the times before I did my Lasik, it was when I could put on big eye contact lenses! Pictures would always look better then. Now that I had lasik done to correct my short-sightedness, contact lenses are a NO-NO, so I can only make do with the original size of my pupa! (What to do, perfect eyesight comes at a cost!) For those who wants to know, I had my Lasik done at the Lasik Eye Surgey Clinic at Paragon late Last November. (:

I realised that I didn't blog about events worth mentioning that happened last year-this year. My 21st Birthday party, our trip to Taipei/HK/Shenzhen, Chinese New Year 2012, BKK trip earlier this May, Graduation just last week. I'll update as soon as I am able to! (:
